Mozart/Bender: Requiem
The classical Requiem in an unfamiliar setting: at the beginning and at the end, live recorded electronic soundscapes and slowly changing patterns are sounded, bringing Mozart's music out of the everyday noises and leading it back into a great cosmic sound.
Christmas oratorio meets Jazz
Together with the jazz gittarist Clinton Campisi, Christopher Bender has created a very unique version of the classic: well-known melodies became jazz standards improvised by their formation "The Ba (ch) Rock'n'Soul Ensemble". This is the recording of the unique concert.
Trumpet and organ
With his first publication Christopher Bender shows himself as an organ virtuoso at the then not yet renovated organ in St. Johannis-Harvestehude. Together with the trumpeter of the NDR Symphony Orchestra Stephan Graf, he plays works by Bach, Rheinberger, Vierne and others.
Bach: St. Matthew-Passion
The St. Matthew Passion is one of the greatest works of sacred music, its performance is a mammoth project. The live recording of the first performance under Christopher Bender from the year 2010 with the choir St. Johannis and the Baroque orchestra Elbipolis includes three CDs.
